I spent several years In Indonesia as a youth, but lived for about a decade in the USA after completing high-school. Having finished a belated degree in the University of Minnesota, I headed west for the East in search of a better life. Where I may end up or what I will do in the future? That remains to be seen.
The title Asienizen is a blending of the word Asia and denizen – since that is what I am, a person living on that continent. This blog will be a chronicle of my observations and thoughts as a denizen of that place; may you find it worth the read.
I like your blog. Weird but amazing, just like you. Hope you will stay at LLV a bit longer.
I enjoy reading your blog! Hope to see you in Asia sometimes.
I saw your youtube videos. I wanted to know who you recommend for tailors in Vietnam, I know there was one place you found to make a shirt for $5. I am wanting to get pretty much an entire wardrobe made (vintage…1950’s but with modern day fabrics). I know at some point we are going east and Vietnam is just beautiful. Can you point me in the right direction? Also, did you ever find a decent cobbler for shoes that hold up for more than 5 wears?
I’ll send you a message about it. Can you give me an email or blog page?
Caleb,
Can you tell me where in Bangkok? I am planning a trip at some point to Thailand probably next year.
Yes you may – if you give attribution. ie. Please tell people where you got the pictures from.
Absolutely….Not a problem…I am more than happy to even post online or give you photos and have them posted onto your website. I really am into the 1950’s look. You have seen some of my photos so you know my style somewhat.
Cool blog. You seem to know a lot more about the country than me..and I’m Vietnamese.
Hey! I was watching the video of Hoi An, great job:) I loved that town too. I know, I am sad about leaving Vietnam! Your videos make me want to stay.
